You're such a tease.

Glad you're sticking around though.

No apologies necessary. Hope the reasons for staying are good ones. If not, we hope your loyal audience is some small comfort.

Well, I'd intended to set up a new blog on Tumblr, but every idea I had for it was just one variation on 'Gunslinger' or another.

It took me a while to realize that the reason for this was that, despite all thoughts to the contrary, I really wasn't done with this blog, regardless of how old it is.

So here we are, ready to roll again. I probably won't be posting every day, but I'll post as much as I can, when I can (same with those members of Team Gunslinger making the voyage back). Reason for this is that the podcast I produce takes up an enormous amount of my free time.

In any event, keep visiting as long as you like the content.

Leave the "Everything has to be NEW!!!" glitz/hype bullshit behind. In the immortal words of Trummy Young, " 'HIt ain't whatcha do, 'hit's the way 'atcha do it."

Bet on it.

I could not be happier. The gradual morphing of a thing such as this as you twist and turn through old influences and discover new ones -- like Mr Dylan turning Key To The Highway into Highway 61 is much more gratifying than watching someone try to create something "new" because they feel they are supposed to. In most of those case, the creation is based on a negative "not like gunsling" as opposed to a an actual new idea. Your eye and taste makes everything you do new, you are lucky that you found a suitable frame to exhibit it within.
Long may you wave...

In the endless stream of RSS feeds, Gunslinger is one of a handful that always attracts my eye - and at least one or two clicks per week. Intriguing, beautiful and sometimes affecting images (not to mention the witty category names) that illuminate a culture both mythic and prosaic. I'll keep visiting as long as you keep posting.

Visiting this place, at least once a day, a few years back, was one of life's pleasures for me, then, and it would be great to pick up, again, where I left off! Marvellous site, without equal.

Just recently learned that the report of your blog's demise was greatly exaggerated. What great news.
