Containing Multitudes Since 2004
November 15 was a Thursday in 1956
I tremble at the thought of Wink Martindale making "rock and roll."
56 seems quite likely. Smith had a no 1 hit in Memphis with Rock 'n' Roll Ruby in May that year and Sam Phillips had brought Orbison from Texas to Memphis in April 56 and placed him with Bob Neal's booking agency Stars Inc in May that year.

MALCO theaters were founded by Morris Lightman. Macy Skipper's great rockabilly 45, 'Quicksand Love' was issued by him on the Light label. Grandson John Lightman briefly replaced Andy Hummel in Big Star. His brother Alan Lightman is a prominent physicist and author. MALCO theaters are still owned by the Lightmans.
That's in Memphis.
It has to be 1956 or 1962 and I'm guessing that 56 is the right year. Can't help you with the model though.
Onscreen, Perez Prado and Mary Kaye (first Stratocaster endorsee) do their stuff in 'Cha Cha Cha Boom'.
Brubeck Time, recorded in late 54 was released sometime in 55, so my bet for this great photo is also 1956
