I saw the same thing. Edison wanted to call electrocutions "westing housings" to give bad press to the competing electric company. He even electrocuted and elephant to show AC was more dangerous than DC.

Looks like the gas chamber, not the electric chair. There are no electrodes attached to his arms or head.
