Containing Multitudes Since 2004
When I worked at a music store a few years ago, we could play anything we wanted. Minor Threat never failed to generate a strong love or hate reaction. They are one of my absolute favorites.
One of the cats in this photo has been housesitting for mistermuleboy for the last two weeks as I've been on a late-in-life honeymoon. That whacky punk introduced me to my fine bride!
MM, was it Jeff Nelson? I always got the impression he was a pretty great guy. I still have my Egg Hunt 7" around here somewhere. To siphon off my teenage angst, I used to pop a Minor Threat cassette into my Walkman, get on my bicycle, and thrash my cares away through the suburban streets of Dartmouth, NS. Worked like a charm.
Mr. C, it was L'il Stevie Hansgen, bass player (when Brian shifted to guitar). The tension between the four/five of them was -- excuse me, is -- immense and never-ending. But Mr. Nelson is indeed a "pretty great" (albeit. . . odd?) guy.Ah, you young fellas -- for me, it's Never Mind the Bollocks, Here's the Sex Pistols that unfailingly makes me a happy, happy man.
Funny, I just bought the latest remaster of Bollocks, I hope it isn't thoroughly brickwalled like a lot of current rock remasters, although I'm not getting my hopes up.
