That was most likely in 1969 on the, "Tommy" tour. Sometimes Pete didn't smash his guitar. He'd just throw it high in the air and walk off the stage, letting the guitar fall to the stage. I don't believe he smashed any on the Tommy tour. He was playing Gibson SG's then and they are just too easy to smash, given their lightweight construction.

@a-natural-man, I looked at the online calendars: this would be 1970, which makes sense because the artist would have memories of the most recent tour.

Love how The Ox is correctly pegged as the only fixed (save for his flying fingers) lad in the bunch. The rest are all twirling, juggling, or throwing something as is their wont. How a band could be this flash and this good at one and the same time = good question.
