I saw Dizzy perform live once. It was at an Edmonton Oilers hockey game and he was playing the American national anthem. It was terrible. When they set up the microphone for the PA system, no one had thought about the bend in his horn. The bell of the horn was nowhere near the microphone. The result was echo-y and totally unpleasant. But hey, it wasn't Dizzy's fault.

I always suspected that horn could double as a snorkel.
