@JonCow, I looked it up -- that was actually the 1964 Republican convention, when he managed to annoy convention organizers by refusing to relinquish his spot on the floor when asked. Although considering the chaos surrounding (and permeating) the 1968 Democratic convention, it would have made more sense.

I'm really digging on his microphone manzier. All the modern reporters (read: GQ male models with an IQ of a shoe) should be forced to wear one.
1968 was the year that Dan Rather was roughed up by some of Chicago's "Finest" on the floor of the convention at the orders of Mayor Daley.
@Brent, I wonder if Mayor Daley's "Finest" were asking Rather "What's the frequency Kenneth?" as they kicked his ass.
