The 'Flip' was certainly one of my favorite hair-do's and yet seeing this image I'm left to wonder if it wasn't some sort of mass hysteria. It pains me to say it looks vaguely ridiculous. The cigarette is a nice touch, though.

MichaelRyerson, I also have a particular fondness for the Flip. This one comes right up to the limit, but doesn't quite go over the edge.

OTOH, Mary Tyler Moore's Flip in Season #1 of The MTM Show is a good example of taking a good thing too far.
