Sort of the Orson Welles of screenwriters in the sense of having a brilliant beginning followed by a long period of not getting movies made, the difference being that it's much harder for a screenwriter to get a movie made than an actor/director.

Hmm, further to my musings at Artists in Action 575 I'm beeginning to wonder if Brando isn't the elephant in the room (pun intended). Candy links Brando to Southern, Waterfront links him to Kazan and Schulberg (see above),Reflections in a Golden Eye links him to Huston. Can we expect an Easter explosion of Brando-ness?
