I loved these old movie palaces when I was a kid. But, they also sometimes frightened me, too. They were so dark and mysterious --
Saw an old movie theater just like this in Whittier. It was showing XXX movies, but still had movie stars from the 1940s and 50s.Thanfully, it was doomed and the earthquake in 86 or so demolished it.
