I didn't know if the photo was staged or if perhaps she played the violin. I couldn't find anything referring to her playing the violin. Does anyone know if she played? I did find that she released a spoken word album in 1964 described as "30-odd poems in a husky, urban baby voice." Also, Jimi Hendrix played bass and lead guitar for Mansfield in 1965 on two songs, "As The Clouds Drift By" and "Suey", released together on two sides.

I like dogs. I like them a lot. What I'm not too crazy about, tho, is when the dogs are the masters and the humans occupy servile roles to their dogs. The dogs are crazy about Mansfield, it's plain to see, but it's approaching a level where she's occupying a servile role to her dogs. I guess it's neither here nor there, for those here, occupying the stage. They've made their final exit and know nothing at all.

Was one of those dogs in the car for the crash?

Dogs don't necessarily like the sound of violins. I'm guessing they are saying "Please stop!"

If she didn't play violin, then whoever posed her must have, because she's holding the bow correctly.

Fred:

She may have had a few lessons over time; enough so that tiny bit of the discipline stayed with her.

She was a classically trained violinist and pianist, and there are vids on the Internet of her playing as a child.
