Shahn's vision was sadly prescient - not a goddam thing has changed.
Ok, so he had an agenda, so he was didactic.On a purely aesthetic level, he will be remembered and, I'm betting, will soon be re-remembered large.And meanwhile, on the didactic agenda level, this is poetry.
