This movie has to be one of my guiltiest pleasures, if not the fact that I am a huge fan of the Pre-Fab Four. This is such a mind freak of a flick, it's amazing to think that Columbia let them get away with it. I'm glad that they did.
Great movie. Great music. Great cast (isn't the amazing Timothy Carey in there for a eyelid-blink too?) But why did they put Frank bloody Zappa in such a prominent position on the poster? Shows little confidence in the product I would have thought.

I have this DVD on my shelf right now, I might even get to it tonight.
wasn't this the movie Nicholson and Fonda made to get the financing for 'Easy Rider'?
Ah, the last TV episode with Rip Taylor and the Frodis - I kinda liked him - !!!??!! - nothing like it before or since.
I'd wanted to see this for years, was hoping it lived up to its cult rep. Then TCM showed it and I watched. Gawdawful, career ending film.
