The Explanation
(for those who require one)

And, of course, that is what all of this is -- all of this: the one song, ever changing, ever reincarnated, that speaks somehow from and to and for that which is ineffable within us and without us, that is both prayer and deliverance, folly and wisdom, that inspires us to dance or smile or simply to go on, senselessly, incomprehensibly, beatifically, in the face of mortality and the truth that our lives are more ill-writ, ill-rhymed and fleeting than any song, except perhaps those songs -- that song, endlesly reincarnated -- born of that truth, be it the moon and June of that truth, or the wordless blue moan, or the rotgut or the elegant poetry of it. That nameless black-hulled ship of Ulysses, that long black train, that Terraplane, that mystery train, that Rocket '88', that Buick 6 -- same journey, same miracle, same end and endlessness."

I think this is my relative Drucilla. She was related to the Fallon and Comarty family in New York. There seems to be a connection with her and the atty William "The Great Mouthpiece" Fallon who represented the notorious Rothstein. I am not sure though. However, family says there was a connection to Tammany Hall, Lagaurdia with a Fallon member. Well, William Fallon was connected to Rothstein who was involved with Zigfeld girls. Also, Fallon represented Nicky Arnstein the ex-husband of Fanny Brice...watch Funny Girl! Contact me at: royblizzard@peoplepc.com

PS Cromarty is the correct spelling! We had a Drucilla who was a Zigfeld Folly and I am pretty darn sure I have seen this photo before at family reunions. The family was very proud of her. I just do not know which side she was related to...Fallon or Cromarty, but I think it is Fallon. Read up on William Fallon the famous atty who was the inspiration for Billy Flynn in Chicago...Give em the old razzle Dazzle! He was connected here somehow. There was a book on him so, look it up.
