Containing Multitudes Since 2004
By an eerie coincidence, a friend and I were whizzing through the countryside singing along to Piper at the Gates of Dawn yesterday. And now Syd's just a wind in the willows.
I admired the fact that Syd was constitutionally incapable of accomodating or bending to The Machine. I'll be out on the deck today, listening to his two solo albums. Unlike his material with Pink Floyd, the solo stuff hasn't aged or dated one bit. It's completely insane, recorded from the edge, and some of the best stuff I've ever heard in my life.
i hope syd is happy wherever he is.as a young lad he blew my mind and i still thankfully haven't recovered.RIP old chap
What?? Syd is dead? I completely missed this....Today, on RNE3 which is by far the best radio station I have found in Spaiñ they played ´Íñterstellar Overdive´. I thiñk that the first two Pink Floyd albums are deceñt, I haveñt veñtured iñto the others...but the two solo albums ar excellent, shall have to dig them out iñ tribute.
