Cieroscope
(Richard J. Appleton; 1896)

One of the early cinematographic devices to come out of Great Britain, R.J. Appleton & Co's Cieroscope was an imaginative endeavour designed to embody within a single unit the functions of camera, printer and projector. This illustration was executed in 1899, at a time when the technology had already moved on.
